Queen Ammann on the Queen Mary

God save the queen! This vessel gets 13 feet / gallon gas mileage, has 160,000 hp, and at it's peak it was able to transport 15,000 troops at one time from the US to England during WWII. I found it interesting that this wonderful cruise ship and ships like it were the primary way to cross the atlantic up until the 1950's. By the time you get to Europe, you would have had already used up one week's vacation time. I'm glad we've got fast jetliners that can get us anywhere in the world within a day's travel.

I really enjoyed running around the decks and having a romantic lunch on board this cruise ship with Krystle.
